FAQ
What are check-in and check-out times?
Standard plan: Park entry 13:00 / Room entry 13:00; Park exit 12:00 / Room exit 10:00. Early Check‑in Plan: Park entry 09:00 / Room entry 09:00; Park exit 12:00 / Room exit 10:00. Late Check‑out Plan: Park entry 13:00 / Room entry 13:00; Park exit 17:00 / Room exit 10:00. Please note the room exit time for the Late Check‑out Plan.
Can we enter 30 minutes earlier than the standard time without the Early Check‑in fee?
We’re sorry, but for bus safety management and facility maintenance, all schools must follow the standard times. The Early Check‑in Plan allows earlier entry only when there is no prior‑night group, so please confirm availability.
How are fees handled for students who leave partway through?
For day trips, the Day Camp fee applies uniformly regardless of time. For overnight stays, fees are charged per night. Early‑in/Late‑out charges may apply depending on the hours stayed.
Can we make announcements over the PA system in the park?
Yes. PA equipment is available at the front desk (you can select whole park, Kurinoki area, or Hounoki area). Groups staying in the Hounoki area have PA equipment in Hounoki Lodge.
Can staff deliver remarks at entrance/exit ceremonies?
Yes. Speeches are typically included in the program, so no need to contact us beforehand. We also give a brief guide on facility use at that time.
How many bungalows can we use?
Number of students ÷ 4.3 (rounded). Additional use beyond this incurs extra fees.
How should we sort garbage?
In general, sort into burnable waste, food waste, and PET bottles (separate cap, label, and body). For details, see p.16 of the Facility Guidebook: “On Garbage Sorting.”
What are the bath hours?
We lock at 24:00. Start time is set per your request. If sharing with another group, please coordinate times. We heat the baths to match your notified times; inform us if your schedule changes significantly.
Are shampoo and hairdryers available?
Rinse‑in shampoo and body soap are provided. Hairdryers are not set out by default; please request in advance. Up to 3 units can be prepared in each of the men’s and women’s dressing rooms.
How many microphones are available at each location?
There are no dedicated hiking courses, but the park is large for walks. There is a path behind the bungalows, but it is not long. Do not take mountain paths not shown on the map due to rockfall risk.
Can we hang school flags or long banners?
Yes. There are flagpoles in Kurinoki Square and Lawn Square. Long banners can be attached to the stage in Kurinoki Square.
Do we need flashlights?
Sensor lights are installed around the park, but some areas are dark; bringing a flashlight is recommended.
How much cleaning is required?
Thank you. Shared facilities such as toilets and cooking areas are cleaned by our staff, so you may leave them as is (cleaning tools are limited). Please clean your bungalow to a reasonable extent.
How should we clean the kamado stove?
Each bungalow has tongs, a brush, and a dustpan. After final use, remove ash and carry it to the ash disposal area using a bucket or dustpan. Please do not pour water on the kamado.
How long does a single rental of cooking equipment last?
During your stay, you may use them multiple times for a single rental fee. In that case, please keep them under your school’s control without returning mid‑stay. Return equipment by the day before departure (to prepare for the next school).
Should we bring umbrellas for rainy weather?
Some areas have no roof; a raincoat or folding umbrella is recommended.
Do we need gym shoes in Shindei Hall?
Not required; however, running in socks may be slippery. Barefoot is fine; indoor shoes are also welcome.
Can we use the square under the tent during rain?
Buses and cars pass through; please avoid overlapping times. Depending on the time slot, use may be declined. Leaders are responsible for safety management.
